I would like to take a moment and introduce myself. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, I received degrees from the University of Akron and Ashland University. The 2018-2019 school year will mark my 20th year in education. For 12 of those 19 years, I was a 5th and 6th grade teacher in North Ridgeville. While there, I taught all subjects, but mostly science and language arts. I also had the opportunity to co-teach for about 4 of those years. For the last seven years, I have been an administrator in Clearview Local Schools where I gained valuable experience at the elementary and middle school levels.
My wife Laura and I have been married for 16 years. We live near Oberlin and are busy raising two teenage boys, a yellow lab, and a hive of bees.
I am excited to be a part of the BIS team where it is my goal to foster relationships that lead to the students’ success. I am looking forward to meeting the students and families and developing collaborative relationships with the teachers and staff. I want to ensure we provide a positive learning environment for our students to grow and challenge themselves.
In closing, I want to thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City Schools. Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions or concerns.
