BHS Volleyball Keeps Rolling vs Buckeye
The Brookside Lady Cardinals improved to 7-0 in the conference and 11-1 overall with their sweep of Buckeye in conference play. Cardinal coach Bruck commented, "Although some players struggled tonight is was wonderful getting to see some of the younger girls on the team step up. I thought that Autumn Kuchta and Taylor Martin had exceptional matches tonight! They have been working really hard in practice and it's nice to see their hard work paying off. They did a great job of playing aggressively and making plays when the team needed them to. Our next match is tomorrow Tuesday, September 16th. It will be away against Wellington."  
BHS Boys Soccer Defeat Vermilion 4-3
The boys soccer team defeated Vermilion by the score of 4-3.  Senior Brandon Kmitt scored 2 goals including his 14th of the season.  Other BHS goals were scored by Devon Houdeshell and Owen Rozanc.  Assists came from Mike Norris (2) and Jo Smail.  Goalie Kenny Pierson had 9 saves for the Cardinals.            
Lady Cards improve to 6-0 in Conference
The Brookside Lady Cards continued their brilliant season by defeating Firelands in 4 sets.  The Lady Cards found themselves down a set and came back to take the next three sets.  Coach Bruck explains, "The team had a rough start today and had to shake off quite a few tough calls, but the girls did a great job of pushing through. Tyller Holley led our hitters with 28 kills, Lisa Campo led the diggers with 32 digs, both Taylor Martin and Lisa Campo led the team in service points with 9 points each, and Miranda Verlato led the team with 3 aces."  The Lady cards improved to 6-0 in the conference and 10-1 overall. 
BHS Boys Soccer Tie Lutheran West
In a defensive battle the Brookside Cardinals and Lutheran West soccer teams ended in a 0-0 tie.  Senior Kenny Pierson had 9 saves in his 3rd shutout of the season.   
BHS Girls Soccer Defeat Lutheran West 5-2
Brookside Lady Cards soccer defeated Lutheran West by the score of 5-2.  Hannah Sours led the way with 3 goals and Katlyn Zanzant added 2 for the Lady Cards.  Assists went to Madison Sours (2), Hannah Sours (1) and Alexis White (1).  
BHS Boys Soccer Results vs Oberlin
ON September 10th the BHS boys soccer team lost to Oberlin by the score of 4-1.  Senior Brandon Kmitt scored his 12th goal of the season with an assist from Owen Rozanc (3). Brooksides next game is Saturday vs. Lutheran West. 
Lady Cards Soccer Falls to Cloverleaf
On 8/21 The Brookside Girls soccer team dropped their second consecutive game by falling to Cloverleaf 5-2.  Up 1-0 at the half the Lady Cards allowed 5 goals in the second half.  Brookside will look to bounce back on Saturday vs. Normandy at Byers Field.
