The Endowment Steak Fry will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Teresa's Hall on the corner of Abbe Rd. & Colorado Ave.  No dinner tickets will be sold at the door, sorry.

We have 50/50 Raffle tickets on sale $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

We also have our big ticket item, 4 tickets on April 5th., Cav's vs. Wizards plus a $500.00 Visa gift card.                      Tickets $10.00 each 

Come join in on this fun night, it's a "Luau"!

If you are planning to be in CCP for school year 2018-2019 (next school year) please, remember that the INTENT TO PARTICIPATE FORM is due in the Guidance Office by April 1st!!  This year, April 1st falls on a Sunday so you MUST TURN IN THE INTENT FORM BY MARCH 28TH, which is the last day of school before spring break!  Turn in completed Intent Forms to the Guidance Office as soon as you can!!

Preschool & Kindergarten Registration- April 18th and 19th image Preschool & Kindergarten Registration- April 18th and 19th

Registration for preschool and kindergarten students will be held at Knollwood School.

We will be holding a mass registration on April 18th and 19th from 9am-11am and 1pm-3pm both days and at 6pm-8pm on the 18h only.  Please remember, your child must be age 5 by August 1st to enroll in Kindergarten.  If you are Open Enrolling your child, you must apply for Open Enrollment at the Board Office and be approved before you can register your child. Make sure you call 440-949-4234 to make an appointment to register after you have been approved and bring your open enrollment approval letter when you register.

We are excited to announce all-day kindergarten will be open to all students. All-day kindergarten has been in such high demand in the past that we have had to deny entrance for some students. Therefore, we have added these extra seats to accommodate our children and parents. Most importantly, it gives our children twice the exposure to reading, language arts, and math skills which will help them for their lifetime. We hope that you will take advantage of this added opportunity.

Cost will continue to be $2,000.00 and is payable monthly with a $200 deposit due at registration. Fee waivers are available for families who qualify.

Knollwood Elementary will also be offering half day preschool and half day kindergarten. While preschool school and full day kindergarten is tuition based. Half day kindergarten is tuition free, however there will be a one time school fee for workbooks, supplies, etc. payable in the fall. 

On the day of registration, you will need to bring your child's birth certificate, shot records, a signed Lease Agreement, Rental Agreement, Mortgage Statement or Purchase Agreement, (choose one), 2 proofs of residency, (utility bills sent to your home with your name and address on it), and custody papers if they apply. You will also need to bring your first payment if you're signing up for preschool on the day of registration.

Preschool is $1500.00 for the year. First payment of $150.00 is due at registration. Second payment will be due September 1st with the rest of the payments due on the 1st of every month. May will be the last payment. There is no school for preschool students on Wednesdays.

The hours for the all-day Kindergarten is 8:20am - 3:20pm. Half-day Pre-School and Kindergarten classes are 8:20am - 11:20am & 12:20pm - 3:20pm.

Open Enrollment 2018/2019 School Year

Open enrollment for the 2018-19 school year begins April 9, 2018 at 8 AM and goes through May 3, 2018. 

You will first have to fill out an application at the Administration Center.

If your child currently has an education plan or an IEP, you must provide a copy and submit along with the completed application. 

All completed applications are processed in the beginning of June.

Incomplete applications may not be processed if all information is not provided.

You will be notified of acceptance or denial via a letter, usually on or around the second week of June.


The applications are processed on a first come, first served basis and it is based on our current enrollment numbers.

If we do not have room in a particular grade, you may be denied. There is also the possibility that one of your students could be accepted and the other denied.

The Seffield-Sheffield Lake City School District does NOT provide transportation to or  from school to open enrolled students.

7th and 8th grade students are invited to attend the ExCEL Summer Career Camp at the Lorain County Joint Vocational School in Oberlin Ohio on Saturday, June 2, 2018 or on Saturday, June 9, 2018 (transportation will be provided on this day starting at Brookside High School).  This camp is designed to give students from our associate school districts that will be entering the 8th or 9th grades, hands-on experience in various career tech program labs to help them make knowledgeable career decisions.  For more information, please call 440-774-1051 ext. 22293 or visit our website,

When your child is absent from school, the policy for homework is stated on page 7 of the handbook:
Absentee Homework
If a student has been absent for three (3) days, parents may call the school in order to request homework or assignments.  Homework will be available in the Office 24 hours after the call.  If absent less than three (3) days, assignments should be obtained by contacting the office or by visiting individual teacher websites (link on the left side of this web page).

 Breakfast Cost will be $1.75. Lunch Cost will be $3.00.
 Please remember that students are only allowed to borrow money for two lunches. You can put money on your student's lunch account by setting up an individual account through our PayForIt.net program. Please visit the school website for the link to PayForIt. Using PayForIt will allow you to make payments to student fees, monitor your child's cafeteria spending and easily add money to their account via a credit or debit card.

BMS/BHS Arrival and Dismissal Routine

Arrival: Buses will drop students off at the front of the building. Parents who drive their student to school are to be dropped off at the back event entrance which is located at the Southeast area of the High School. You will turn into the drive between the High school and Intermediate school, turn right in front of the staff parking lot to drop off at the doors and continue around the staff lot to exit. No Exiting behind the Intermediate School. Dismissal: Buses will pick up students in the front of the building. Parents will pick up students from the back event entrance following the same procedure as arrivals. Again Please DO NOT exit behind the Intermediate building. If you need to come inside for any reason please park in the visitor parking spots in the front of the building.

Please remember to keep your phone numbers, addresses, emergency contact information and medical forms updated with the school. Please call the office at (440) 949-4228 or (440) 949-4227 if you need a new form sent home.  
Check your student's progress frequently using the POWERSCHOOL button located in the upper left of the website. Parents can create an account to access your student's grades, attendance and other features. You may also pay for your child's school fees and add money to your child's cafeteria account using the PAYFORIT.NET button located in the upper right corner. Student ID's and passwords are sent home at the beginning of the school year. Any questions please call the main office at (440) 949-4228.
