Early Dismissal

On Wednesday, March 3rd, we will have another early release day in the district. The students will be dismissed at 2:25. The same dismissal procedure is in place just an hour earlier. If you have any questions, call the office @ 949-4234.

MARKET DAY AT KNOLLWOOD

Market Day is at Knollwood! The order forms are being sent home. You can order online or by returning the paper form with your child to school. All profits will go to getting a NEW playground in the Spring. If you have any questions, call the office at 949-4234. **Market Day pick-up is Tuesday, February 16th from 4-5:30.** Thank you for your continuous support.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Kindergarten & Preschool Registration for the 2010/2011 school year will be on March 10th & 11th. It will be held at Knollwood School ONLY on those dates. Hours will be from 9:00am -11:00am & 1:00pm - 3:00pm on both days. In addition we will have an evening registration from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on the 11th ONLY.

You will need to bring your child's birth certificate, shot records, child's social security card, two proofs of residency, (2 things mailed to your house with your name and address on it) & custody papers if they apply. Call Knollwood School if you have any questions. Look forward to meeting you all!

We also offer full day kindergarten classes and preschool, both are tuition based. Call Knollwood for more information.

Outside Recess

The weather is changing and getting much colder, please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. We will have outdoor recess as long as the temperature is 20 degrees and above with the wind chill. Please have your child wear gloves, mittens, a hat, etc. to keep warm. The time outside may be shortened, but the students still need to dress warm. If you have any questions, please cal 949-4234.

ICE CREAM MONDAYS

Ice Cream Mondays are back and will begin on Monday, September 14th during lunchtime. The PTO will be selling ice cream for $.50 every Monday for the entire school year. There are 5 different types of ice cream for the kids to choose from! Please send the money in a ziploc bag with your childs name and have the bag labeled "Ice Cream". If you have any questions, please call the office and leave a message for Knollwood PTO. Thank you for your continuous support!

Entry and Dismissal

For safety reasons, there will be NO waiting in the foyer area near the office for dismissal. Students must be dropped off by the back doors and picked up outside the gym doors on the back playground. A staff member/PTO member will be waiting to greet your child from the car or at the back doors to release your child at dismissal. If you need to bring your child into school, please park in the back parking lot and come to the office with your child to receive a visitors pass before going to the classroom . If you need to pick up your child early from school, please send a note with your child in the morning telling us of the early dismissal. This new procedure is in place for the safety of ALL the students!
