| BOOK REPORTS DUE FRIDAY JAN 30th BLOCK 1 and 3 | Students in these two blocks need to have a silent reading book in class EVERYDAY no later than Monday 1/12/09 Students will be writing book reports on the book they have chosen to read this month. | | Current Week's Plans | We are currently reading "The Circuit." A short story about a young California boy who is a migrant worker. We will be focusing on context clues, story elements, making inferences, and figurative language.
Grammar will be focusing on subject-verb agreement and verb tenses. | | Silent Reading Book | This is a gentle reminder that some students are not following this direction. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A SILENT READING BOOK IN CLASS EVERY DAY!!!
